Extensions can be synthetic or mink, and are divided into 3 categories → Classics, Hybrid, and Volume
Depending on which factors your prefer, prices differ. They usually start at $40 and go up. Fills are requried every few weeks which are usually cheaper your original first time set.
Classics = one lash is glued to one natural lash (1:1 ratio)
Hybrid = one lash is glued to one, then two lashes are glued to the next one
Volume = minimum of 2 lashes glued to one
Pros of extensions :
-saves SO much time getting ready
-always looking awake and sexy!
-no damage to lashes unlike mascara!
Cons of extensions :
-can be pricey, it's a monthly investment
-proper cleansing routine needed, baby shampoo to rinse at night and daily combing with a spoole
-if done incorrectly, can irritate the eye
I would suggest carefully researching a good lash tech with positive reviews to do your extensions. Honestly I would say give extensions a try because you never know, you might just fall in love with them like I did! It's definitely an investment and takes time to care for it, but you get use to it after a while it and becomes part of your lifestyle. But PLEASE do your research. Lots of unexperienced lash techs use too much glue and it clumps at the root of your lashes, therefore damaging them. However a professional tech will NOT do that and knows the perfect amount of glue to use.
